Responsibilities:
- Safely drive various Class 1 vehicles, including flatbeds, B-trains, or tankers across long-haul routes
- Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections (tires, brakes, lights, fluid levels)
- Secure loads using straps or chains and the loading/unloading of goods using forklifts or cranes
- Maintain accurate electronic logbooks and manifests
- Perform minor emergency roadside repairs and report any major defects to shop supervisor
- Perform hands-on-assembly, repairs and maintenance to transformers and our service equipment.
- Support the team during maintenance services so that all tasks are completed safely, timely and with the upmost quality.
- Operate the oil processor
- Assist other technicians with general equipment maintenance and restocking supplies.
- Review project plan prior to arriving onsite for a clear understanding of all requirements.
- Complete and submit all supporting documentation from the project accurately and timely.
Requirements:
- Class 1 driver’s license
- Must be mechanically inclinded
- First Aid, WHMIS 2015, Confined Space, Fall Arrest
- Must be computer literate and professional
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) and work non-standard hours
- Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and the desire to learn new skills
