Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive repair and bodywork, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring customer satisfaction through expert service and attention to detail. Candidates with dealership experience and mechanical knowledge will be highly valued. Duties
- Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs for bodywork and structural components
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to remove dents, replace panels, and perform collision repairs
- Repair or replace damaged parts, ensuring proper fitment and finish
- Perform sanding, painting prep, and refinishing to restore vehicles to factory standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and accurately
- Document repair processes and communicate progress with supervisors and customers as needed
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and bodywork
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior mechanic experience is advantageous for understanding vehicle structures and systemsRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Red Seal or 310B is preferred
- I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)
Other Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.
- You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
- You have your own toolbox
- Valid driver’s license required
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)
Pay: $70,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
