Key Internal Relationships
Reports to Payroll Supervisor
Works directly with the head office and operations team
Collection of all automated and manual timecards for all hourly employees including the division and local offices. Follow up on any missing timecards or information.
Review and correction of all errors within the Heavy Job files
Exporting of all Heavy Job files into JDE
Log batches into payroll tracking sheet to ensure payroll is captured for all hourly employees
Assist with preliminary review of all employee’s time, including RT, OT, DT, LOA’s, shift differentials, stat holidays, etc.
Liaise with operations on timecard issues
Ensure manual adjustments are reviewed and entered into JDE
Reconciliation of payroll accounts, including hours, rates, etc.
Assist with payroll and compliance reporting
Assist with new hires and records of employment
Will co-ordinate and perform all changes to Heavy Job master record tables including:
Adding and removing employees and setting pay classes/rates
Assist with HCSS user account administration for all companies
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Experience with JDE accounting software an asset.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in construction or manufacturing industry.
Able to work well in a collaborative, team-based environment.
