As a Facilities and Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and providing preventative maintenance support in our warehouse facilities; including, but not limited to, fire safety equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, plumbing systems, building and grounds maintenance. Led by the Supervisor, Facilities and Equipment, this opportunity will best suit a team player who loves the challenge of repairing and maintaining our facility.
Please note this is a 12-month term role.
Shift Available:
Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday (finishing Friday morning), 11:00pm to 7:00am
Ready to make an impact? Here’s how:
- Diagnose problems, repair, and maintain building equipment including docks, racking, HVAC, fire Systems, boilers (pumps and motors), fans and fume hoods, pump trucks and hand carts.

Maintain and complete minor repairs on, plumbing and fixtures, doors and windows, walls, roofing and flooring, and painting.

Support fabrication of miscellaneous items not governed under CWB certifications.

Operate outside gas-powered equipment to support snow and grounds maintenance.

Perform minor rough carpentry.

Support conveyor preventative maintenance and assist with repairing and setting up for maintenance jobs.

Support with battery maintenance.

Complete preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
We’re looking for:
- Three to five years of hands-on experience in a similar role.

Experience with minor welding and fabrication using band saws, welding equipment, drill press and grinders.

Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic system repairs.

Experienced and comfortable with rough carpentry work.

Ability to interpret schematics and manuals for proper maintenance.

Comfortable working at heights on mezzanines and aerial work platforms.

Valid Driver’s License required.

Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Suite programs.

The ability to be onsite 5 days a week at our Dealer Support Centre in St. Jacobs, to accommodate the needs of the role.
