We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef / Dessert Specialist

We are looking for a Pastry Chef / Dessert Specialist who has a passion for creating delicious, homemade old-fashioned desserts that bring comfort and joy to our residents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of homemade desserts, including pies, cakes, cookies, squares, puddings, and other traditional baked goods.
- Plan and create dessert menus suitable for seniors.
- Ensure all desserts are prepared in accordance with food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized baking area.
- Assist with inventory
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to provide high-quality meals and desserts for residents.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing to cross-train in the kitchen.
- Must be able to replace the Cook during sick days, vacation periods, or other absences.
- Ability to prepare full meals when required is considered an asset.
- Previous baking or pastry experience preferred.
- Experience in a long-term care, special care home, or institutional kitchen is an asset.
