We are seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a warm and cheery disposition, and be detail-oriented. Primary duties are attending to patients in person and on the phone, and billing patients. Billing duties include creating patient invoices, taking payments from patients, facilitating insurance payments and reconciling any payment shortfalls. Attending to patient duties include scheduling of appointments, filling cancellations, answering the phone and providing an excellent overall patient experience. Ability to multi-task and being organized are key competencies. We are seeking someone who fits into our small team (2 dentist 2 hygienists and 3 support staff) where we all share the goal of giving our patients the best dental care possible. This dental practice and has been operating in this location for over 50 years! It has a solid reputation, which our whole team is proud of. Remuneration commensurate with experience.
Duties: - Manage patients via phone and in-person in a friendly and professional manner - Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries - Confirm upcoming appointments - Manage insurance information and processing and collecting payments - Maintain electronic dental records accurately -Other administrative duties as assigned

- Knowledge of phone systems and office equipment - Computer literacy proficiency: Experience with Abeldent or other dental software an asset
- Experience handling dental insurance claims an asset
