About The Role
The Scientific Evaluator is responsible for assessing incoming bioanalytical quote requests by reviewing scientific and technical requirements of the molecule and associated assays. This role ensures feasibility, aligns with internal capabilities, and engages Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support accurate and timely quote development.
What You'll Do Here
Scientific Assessment
Evaluate incoming bioanalytical quote requests, including analyte type, assay platform, analytical range, and study requirements.
Assess feasibility based on internal capabilities, methodologies, and scientific constraints.
SME Coordination
Identify and engage appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for technical input.
Ensure SME feedback is obtained within established timelines.
Consolidate and validate SME recommendations.
Quote Preparation Support
Confirm scientific approach and assumptions prior to quote development.
Provide clear, structured evaluation outputs to Proposal Coordinators within established timelines.
Ensure all required technical details are complete and accurate for costing.
Perform quote reviews in a timely manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Business Development (BD), Bioanalytical Laboratory, and other related internal teams.
Support seamless transition from scientific evaluation to quote generation.
Process Adherence & Tracking
Follow established workflows for quote initiation and evaluation.
Maintain accurate tracking of requests via internal systems (e.g., SharePoint tracker).
To conduct all work in compliance with SOPs, GLPs, GCPs and observe all company guidelines and policies.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in a Sciences or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
Minimum 5 years related experience in a similar position in a Pharmaceutical companies and/or CRO specializing in ligand binding assay (LBA), immunogenicity assay (ADA) and/or LC-MS.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple deliverables.
Microsoft Office’s suite of programs including: Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and document management tools.:
Bilingual proficiency in French may be required, depending on location.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and industry specific manuals.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Developed interpersonal skills are required.
Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information.
Brings logical resolutions to conflicting interests and priorities.
Relevant industry experience a plus.
