Aon is looking for a Senior Consultant, Asset Liability Modelling

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Wealth team within Aon. Our team is responsible for reviewing and recommending investment strategies and performing different asset allocation, risk and optimization analysis.

Available location: Montreal, Toronto or Quebec City. Applicants from other Canadian cities will be considered.
Your Impact as a Senior Consultant

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing investment consulting services (asset mix reviews, asset-liability studies, liability-driven investing, funding policy review, spending policy review, multifaceted investment strategies, etc.) and analytical support to a wide range of clients including defined-benefit and defined-contribution pension plans, foundations and endowments, insurance funds and other types of institutional investors;
Provide technical expertise in improving and maintaining risk management tools;
Participate in establishing implementation plans for various investment and risk reduction strategies;
Oversee client mandates, project workflow, and delivery of studies for our Canadian clients;
Build and/or assist in presentations to clients or prospects, as part of a team or individually;
Anticipate client issues, needs or concerns and proactively develops solutions to meet those needs;
Collaborate with other colleagues on various mandates to achieve results.
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years of proven ability in retirement and/or investment consulting;
Strong understanding of asset-liability relationship and investing;
Knowledge of pension plan funding rules;
Strong digital literacy;
Skills and interest in programming (Visual Basic, Matlab, R …);
Strong curiosity about investment and financial modelling;
Strong skills for working in teams;
Autonomous, dedicated and meticulous;
Ability to balance multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines;.
Client relationship and presentation skills;

Desirable experience:
Experience in asset-liability modelling and stochastic projections;
Designation of ASA, FSA or FICA of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries;
CFA Charter-holder or enrolled in the CFA program;
French, spoken and written.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences, mathematics, statistics or business (finance or economy).
