ABOUT CLASS 1 DRIVER:
The team of Class 1 Drivers plays a vital role in upholding Frozen Solid's commitment to high-quality, reliable, and on-time deliveries and superior customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations. The responsibilities involve operating Class 1 vehicles, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations, and ensuring the timely and secure delivery of cargo. A strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and reliability is also paramount in this position.
Location: Calgary or Lethbridge
2 runs per week: 10-12 hours per run.
Overtime over 60 hours per week.
Offering: $0.65 per mile, $27.97-$37.84 per hour, and Safety Bonus.

Skills and Qualifications:
- A valid Class 1 driver’s license.
- Knowledge of how to handle materials safely, such as food or dry products.
- Familiarity with using navigation systems.
- Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
- Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo.
Education and Experience Requirements
- minimum 2 years of mountain driving experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record.
- No DUI conviction in the past 7 years.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries.
- Meeting delivery deadlines.
- Performing basic truck maintenance.
- Tracking shipments and deliveries.
- Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed.
- Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
- Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
- Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
- Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
- Other related duties as requested.
