We’re seeking an experienced Accounting & Office Manager to assist and lead our next chapter.
Overview
This role oversees and performs daily financial operations, accounting functions, HR and benefit administration, IT coordination for our Saskatoon location and deals with required service providers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills, and a track record of managing office and accounting functions in a shop-unionized environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and budgets
- Full understanding of debit/credit accounting and how it creates Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements
- Oversee and perform daily accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, cash flow, and job costing
- Member of the accounting team
- Manage benefits, insurance programs, and HR administration
- Support ERP systems and maintain fixed asset controls
- Coordinate business, IT, and phone devices and accounts with helpdesk support
- Represent management on the OHC committee.
- Provide expertise and recognize the need for policy and process development
Requirements and Skills
- Accounting diploma or demonstrated equivalent experience (minimum 5 years required)
- Office management experience required (minimum 5 years)
- Proficiency with financial statements, budgeting, and payroll
- Experience with Jonas Accounting Software is an asset.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Adobe, CoPilot)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
- OHC Level 1 and 2 would be an asset
