Your Role on our Team: As a Labourer, you will support the Construction Team with delivering on the construction of assigned homes from excavation through to completion. Contribute to an exceptional customer experience and maintain schedules, while upholding Minto’s core values.
In this role, you will:
- Cleans and dusts all the rooms in the home including floors, stairwells, walls, mirrors, cabinets, baseboards, window frames, doors, door casing, counters, bathroom fixtures, and appliances;
- Eliminates excess debris, wood, paint, stains, drywall mud, or caulking left over from the trades;
- Maintains cleaning supplies and tools at the site office;
- Cleans litter and trash around the grounds of the development project;
- Ensures propane heaters are heating the home for installed drywall to set (prior to the heating system being turned on) as required;
- Covers and remove cardboard on new floors (i.e., hardwood);
- Sprays fireplace grills;
- Cleans model homes (light bulbs) as required;
- May be required to clean homes before completion or ad hoc;
- Locks the home when cleaning is complete and as required;
- Ensures all Minto staff and trades partners abide by The Alberta Employment Standards Code and Minto’s Health & Safety Policies;
- Other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job, as requested by management
We would like you to have:
- A High School Diploma is an asset
- Carpentry and framing experience would be considered an asset
- Ability to understand and read labels of cleaning products as well as, knowledge of cleaning procedures
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills (listening, verbal)
- Dependability/Reliable
- Adaptability/Flexibility
- Time Management and Organizational skills
