We are a folding carton (paper) manufacturing plant looking for an experienced Printing Press Operator to join our Litho team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Off-Set Printing and is experienced in operating a Heidelberg printing press. This position requires a candidate that can work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for operation of the Heidelberg offset printing press.
- Responsible for the overall quality of printing jobs and efficiency of production as assigned.
- Adjust and runs the printing press.
- Direct crew members while providing on-the-job training.
- Responsible for accurate record keeping.
- Perform preventative care and maintenance on equipment.
- General clean up.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in ongoing training.
- Not limited to and including other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Experience:
- Grade 12 or acceptable experience.
- English language knowledge/ability – speaking, listening, reading and writing.
- Must have 5 years’ plus experience in operating Off-set Printing press.
- Strong knowledge of Heidelberg printing presses, function and maintenance required.
- Experience in Manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience of Equipment Preventative Care and Troubleshooting.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Available to work Weekly Rotational Shift schedule.
- Must be both familiar and able to adhere to company safety policies and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act).
- Respect individuals, the organization, authority, the community and the team.
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Must be flexible to work Weekly Rotating Shifts and Continental Shifts that may include holidays and weekends.
