Job Description:
As a Barista at Good Earth Coffeehouse, you’ll play a key role in providing our customers with exceptional service and delicious coffee. We’re looking for someone with prior barista experience who can craft beautiful beverages, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a friendly, customer-first attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
- Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers in a friendly and approachable manner
- Operate coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, etc.) with precision and care
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Handle cash, process payments, and manage orders through the POS system
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable café experience
Requirements:
- Some barista experience required (minimum 1 year)
- Applicant is able to pick up shifts with 24 hour notice.
- Ability to work 20-30 hours per week with flexibility for both weekday and weekend shifts. Because we believe in rewarding our high performers, the number of hours you receive, will be based on your performance.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Able to work closing shift alone for 4- 5 hours
- Team-oriented and willing to help with various tasks
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude
