The Opportunity:
Are you an Information Systems professional with strong technical and development skills? At Canadian Natural, Developers collaborate and contribute to the support and enhancement of a wide range of business applications. As a Developer on the IS Oil sands Mining team, you will help support and enhance the Oil sands applications portfolio. Your collaborative capability with other IS and business teams as well as your technical expertise will be key in order to meet the objectives of the Oil sands business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Work in an Agile development environment to design, develop and support multiple web and client based business applications
- Provide expert input and feedback for helping design and develop new business applications and enhancing existing applications
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and Product Owners to estimate and refine user stories for development initiatives
- Work alongside other developers to produce quality code using accepted design patterns, best practices and peer reviews as well as leveraging user acceptance testing feedback loops
- Produce and help manage technical support documentation for the business applications portfolio
- Provide technical assistance in the installation and maintenance of third party applications

- Shift schedule: 5X2 (Monday to Friday – 8 hours/day)

Skills & Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Sciences or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience as a Software / Web Developer working in an Agile environment
- Technologies and Tools: Microsoft technologies – C#, .NET (Framework 4.6+, Core 2.1+, VB.NET), ASP.NET, and Entity Framework ; Relational SQL databases such as Oracle / MS SQL; Modern web frameworks such as Blazor / React / Angular / Vue.; JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS); Azure DevOps. Cloud technologies experience (e.g. Azure, AWS) considered an asset
- Oil and Gas experience considered an asset
