Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing both driving skills and equipment operation expertise. Candidates should possess a valid AZ commercial driver’s license and have experience with freight handling and heavy equipment operation. A background in automotive repair or forklift operation is a plus, contributing to the overall maintenance and safety of the vehicle and cargo. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our supply chain and supporting our company's growth.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and compliance with company policies
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients regarding delivery schedules and cargo status
- Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory checks or equipment operation when not on the road
Skills
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Experience operating truck and trailer minimum 1 to 2 years.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for transporting goods
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety compliance
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
