The Quality Assurance Specialist’s purpose is to develop, maintain and establish performance and quality assurance standards of Laurentide. The QA Specialist will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve organization operation processes through careful issues identification, key measurements, rigorous analysis, flawless solutions implementations and robust processes controlling. The QA Specialist will also play a key role in the development and implementation of continuous improvement culture at Laurentide.

What you bring to the table

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in warehouse (receiving, picking and shipping) and production workflows
Operational Management

  • Lead Quality Case investigation and resolution process
  • Support teams on the establishment of performance & quality assurance measurement
  • Participate and assist in the conduction of internal quality audits
  • Documenting quality assurance activities and creating audit reports
  • Ensures that performance and quality standards for products/services adhere to established company and safety regulation standards
  • Ensure processes are respecting standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed
  • Ensure the timely investigation and completion of all preventive and corrective actions necessary to resolve any non-compliance issues that may have been highlighted as a result of the audits
  • Verify and revise performance and quality assurance standards as needed
  • Create training materials and operating manuals
  • Coach leaders and SME on lean quality management
Essential skills and qualifications to be successful

  • College diploma or university degree in relevant discipline and/or 5-7 years equivalent in Quality assurance role
  • Direct hands-one experience in the design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards for production and warehouse activities (receiving, picking, shipping)
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of Lean & Six Sigma concepts and tools
  • Proven data gathering, data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with statistical sampling, reporting, analysis and design of experiment
  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures
  • Experience working ERP and CRM systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and in English
  • Experience working in both multidisciplinary & functional team at every organizational level
  • Autonomous, influential leader and strong team player
  • Certifications in PMP, Lean Six Sigma (Assets)
