POSITION: Business Analyst
LOCATION: Toronto (M5C 3G7)
STATUS: Full-time


We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our Portfolio Operations team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for projects and workflow development pertaining to CI’s compliance, money management and portfolio operations teams.


Liaise with compliance, portfolio managers and traders to define the scope of new processes and projects and to document the associated workflows.
Assist in the implementation and support of the new middle office platform (ABOR, IBOR, PMAR)
Develop position and data reconciliation processes to ensure data quality excellence
Collaborate with compliance, portfolio managers and traders to define the scope of new processes and projects and to document the associated workflows.
Develop a strong proficiency with the investment applications being utilized for trading and portfolio management
Cultivate effective working relationships with CI investment management and operations, custodians, clearers, auditors, data vendors and others in the industry.


CFA or CPA Candidate
Experience with Investment/Accounting Book of Record systems
Strong knowledge of fund accounting processes
Excellent communications and listening skills required to document and understand business requirements
Strong knowledge of industry back office practices associated with portfolio management including Fund Accountants, Custodians, Data Vendors, etc.
Knowledge and experiences with financial markets and complex instruments
Advance Excel Skills & working knowledge of VBA and SQL
Effective time management and leadership skills
The ability to work independently and within a team setting
Solid conceptual and problem-solving skills to ascertain issues and provide recommendations
