Crescent Mechanical is seeking a highly motivated Tool Crib Attendant to join our growing team to manage the inventory, distribution, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and shop supplies. This role is essential in ensuring our trades team and its employees have the tools and materials they need to work safely and efficiently. Starting Wage: $20-$23 per hour – based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Issue, deliver, receive, and track, tools and equipment supplied to our trades team.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of tools and equipment.
- Assist Procurement Specialist with ordering consumables as required.
- Inspect, clean, and coordinate repairs or calibration of tools and equipment.
- Pick-up tools and equipment from vendors using company vehicles.
- Organize and label tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure clean, organized and efficient workspace.
- Assist with offloading and loading of shipments, as well as verifying deliveries and putting away stock into proper locations.
- Ensure timely availability of tools and equipment. Escalate any tool shortages to management immediately.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
- Valid G class license.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used by welders, electricians, and millwrights.
- Forklift experience with valid certification. Willing to recertify.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and inventory management skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Excel is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
