Our Mississauga, ON location is looking to add a dynamic Petroleum Equipment Sales Representative to our cohesive and high-energy sales group. As a member of NEE's Sales Team, the Sales Representative has overall responsibility for the sales and profitability of assigned territories while working co-operatively with the branch and sales teams as well as Operations.
Training and technical support of products to assist the existing and new customer base in the use of assigned products are among the Sales Representative's responsibilities. This role involves retention and optimization of sales to the existing customer base as well as obtaining new customers. The Sales Representative coordinates communication throughout the assigned territory and is involved with community activities to promote NEE and coordinate NEE initiatives.
Compensation includes competitive base pay, auto allowance, bonus pay and monthly commissions.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
· Interface with existing customers to secure continuing sales and maintain strong customer relationships; endeavour to optimize the existing customer base by promoting and selling existing and new products and services to our customers. Provides professional, effective and efficient solutions to customer inquiries. Provide quotations, technical support and literature, training courses and other support/materials for customers.
· Achieves new customer potential by examining market opportunities, qualifying potential customer needs, tailoring products and services to meet customers’ needs, and selling to potential customers through sales calls etc.
· Communicate customers concerns on inventory and delivery so that customer loyalty is maintained and patterns continually evolve with customers’ changing requirements.
· Participates in setting branch sales objectives and is accountable for achieving sales results (revenue, gross margin, account targets and monthly sales quotas)
· Advises the branches regarding pricing competitiveness to achieve margin expectations while, at the same time, ensuring flexibility in gaining large volume and/or new customer accounts
· Pro-actively communicate with Branch management on all aspects of customer alliances ensuring customers and branch expectations are met in a manner consistent with alliance terms and any issues are immediately addressed
· Manage expenses within assigned budgets
· Provide feedback and recommendations on new products, services, market conditions to customers, regulatory authorities, and branch management.
· Participate in trade shows, training and associated product meetings where appropriate
Qualifications:
· Previous sales experience in sales management, ideally within in the Petroleum industry
· Previous success managing customer communications & relationships and providing strong customer service
· Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring traits
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
· Sound business acumen including financial and analytical skills
· Self-motivation and creativity
· Strong presentation, time management and organizational skills
· Strong and effective negotiation and relationship development abilities
· Strong problem-solving skills, particularly relevant in managing customer accounts
· Competitive and upbeat attitude with a drive to succeed
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
