Hours of Operation:
Saturday 9:00 - 2:00
Sunday 8:30 - 1:00
Alternating Weekends is also an option
Position Type: Part-Time Weekend Pharmacist
Position Summary
We are seeking a patient-focused and motivated pharmacist to join our team on weekends. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care while supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy.
Preferred Experience
- Community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Experience with Kroll software is an asset.
- Experience with Methadone Dispensing is Mandatory
Responsibilities
- Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescriptions.
- Provide medication counselling and patient education.
- Conduct medication reviews and identify drug therapy issues.
- Administer injections and vaccinations in accordance with Ontario regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Process prescription renewals, adaptations, and minor ailment prescribing where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all OCP standards, pharmacy policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, assistants, and support staff.
- Handle patient inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Support workflow management to ensure timely prescription service.
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Injection certification required.
- Authorization to prescribe for minor ailments is considered an asset.
- Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a community pharmacy setting.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
