Mechanical Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Natik Projects is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing project team.
Natik is a mechanical contractor specializing in complex commercial, institutional, and industrial projects across Northern Canada. Our work includes plumbing, heating, HVAC, sheet metal, fire protection, fuel systems, building automation and controls.
This is an opportunity for an experienced mechanical construction professional who wants to manage substantial projects, have real ownership over their work, and grow with a rapidly expanding contractor.
The Role
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from turnover through construction and closeout. You'll work closely with our Construction Manager, site supervision, project coordinators, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage mechanical construction projects from award through closeout
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules and cost reporting
- Coordinate procurement, equipment releases and subcontractors
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, shop drawings and change documentation
- Prepare and manage change orders
- Coordinate with general contractors, consultants and clients
- Support field supervision and resolve construction issues
- Track project progress, labour productivity and schedule
- Manage project documentation using Procore, Bluebeam and related software
- Coordinate project turnover, commissioning and closeout
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project partners
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience managing commercial, institutional or industrial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts and change management
- Strong organizational, communication and financial management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of project outcomes
Mechanical construction experience is strongly preferred, including experience with plumbing, heating, HVAC, sheet metal, fire protection, controls or related systems.
Experience as a mechanical tradesperson, estimator, coordinator, superintendent or project manager will all be considered.

Location & Travel
This position is based in [Edmonton/St. Albert].
Our projects are primarily located throughout Northern Canada. The Project Manager will be office-based with periodic travel to project sites as required. This is not a rotational site position.
