Role Description:
Neo has an immediate need for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Tax group in Toronto. The role will support income tax compliance, tax reporting and provision activities, while also contributing to global tax projects involving our international operations. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering high quality work to ensure operations, schedules, and performance goals are met.
This role is based in Toronto, ON, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare IFRS tax provisions for Canadian companies;
- Coordinate the preparation and review of tax provisions for global sites located in Asia, Europe and the United States;
- Prepare the consolidated tax provision summary and related tax reporting under IFRS, including the analysis of tax reserves, valuation allowances and undistributed earnings;
- Prepare Canadian income tax returns, information returns and reports;
- Assist in managing the global tax compliance process;
- Gather info required for preparation of US tax returns;
- Gather info and manage the preparation of transfer pricing reports;
- Prepare quarterly transfer pricing calculations and charges for corporate support services;
- Prepare exempt surplus calculations;
- Assist in ensuring that new developments in tax are conveyed to the appropriate people in the company and that processes are developed to ensure that the company is compliant with laws and regulations;
- Assist in responding to queries from internal/external/government auditors; and
- Support global tax planning and process improvement initiatives, as well as other tax related matters on an ad hoc basis.

Education and experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field;
- Completed or pursuing Canadian In-Depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation program;
- Completed or pursuing professional accounting designation;
- Three to five years’ relevant experience and knowledge of accounting for income taxes under IFRS;
- Knowledge of corporate income taxation; knowledge of transfer pricing, international tax, indirect tax or M&A tax is an asset;
- Team player with good communication, negotiation and presentation skills;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers;
- Ability to interface with international sites to establish strong working relationships and cooperation;
- Strong knowledge of basic computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and use multiple applications specific to this department (Taxprep, SAP, Sage, Visio, OneStream); and
- Ability to evaluate, analyze, prioritize work under tight timelines, and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
