Job Overview
The Maintenance Helper supports the overall upkeep and repair of the hotel’s facilities, equipment, guest rooms and grounds. This role assists the maintenance team with daily tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.
- Assist with general cleaning, grounds upkeep and maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, plumbing and basic carpentry
- Support routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Help maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems under supervision
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Assist in setting up and repairing furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Assist in maintaining grounds, gardens and exterior of building
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or issues immediately
- Support preventative maintenance programs
Requirements
Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs.
Experience with different hand and power tools
Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
Drivers licence.
Available weekends and holidays
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Good customer service skills

Pay: From $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
