Job Overview
We are hiring a registered dental hygienist for an established full-time position, Monday through Thursday, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. The schedule is fixed year-round, and the book is well managed, so your day starts and ends when it is supposed to. You will work alongside a stable, long-tenured team in a modern Nepean office where you are given the appointment length and the equipment to do the work properly.
Schedule
Monday 9:00 – 8:00 (1 hour break)
Tuesday 10:00 – 6:00 (30 min break)
Wednesday 9:00 – 8:00 (1 hour break)
Thursday 10:00 – 6:00 (30 min break)
35 paid hours across four days. No rotating shifts, no weekends. Additional evening shifts available for anyone who wants them.
Compensation
Up to $65 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities
Perform scaling, root planing and polishing, with the time to do each properly
Conduct periodontal assessments and charting, and maintain accurate clinical records
Educate patients on home care and preventive treatment in a way they will actually follow
Take and review digital radiographs
Maintain infection control and sterilization standards
Work with the dentist and assistants to keep the day running on schedule
Qualifications
Registered and in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
Current CPR certification and professional liability insurance
Comfortable with pediatric and orthodontic patients
Bilingual French and English is an asset
