Role: Data Engineer (MS Fabric)

Background
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong, hands-on Microsoft Fabric delivery experience to support a client in the healthcare technology sector. This role will focus on designing and implementing modern, scalable data solutions using Fabric-native capabilities, going beyond traditional Synapse and Power BI implementations.
Candidates with prior healthcare or health-tech experience are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric
- Develop and implement Fabric-native architectures, including Lakehouse, OneLake, and DirectLake
- Build and manage data pipelines and deployment pipelines within Fabric
- Design and optimize data models, data lakes, and warehouse solutions
- Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality, governance, and reliability
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and solutions
- Support reporting and analytics through Fabric and Power BI integration
- Apply best practices for data governance, security, and performance optimization
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer
- Hands-on delivery experience with Microsoft Fabric (beyond Synapse and Power BI)
- Strong expertise in:
- Lakehouse architecture
- OneLake and DirectLake
- Fabric deployment pipelines
- Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake)
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms
- Experience in healthcare or healthcare technology environments is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
