Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Summer Support Workers to assist with programs designed for individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and implementing engaging activities tailored to the needs of children and individuals with disabilities
- Provide one-on-one support to participants, ensuring their safety and well-being during activities
- Support participants in developing social, communication, and life skills through interactive teaching methods
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Help facilitate group outings, recreational activities, and educational sessions
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Document participant progress and communicate effectively with supervisors and families as needed
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or children is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Demonstrated ability to teach or mentor others in a supportive manner
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability are essential for success in this role
- Previous experience in educational or recreational settings is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow directions effectively
Pay: $17.86-$20.00 per hour
