What is Required for the Position
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in construction as a heavy equipment operator.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience of open cut experience.
- Sewer and Watermain or tunneling experience an asset.
- Experience with the safe operation of heavy equipment
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and Construction regulations
- Ability to communicate and report effectively in a team environment.
- Working at Heights, WHMIS
- Excellent oral and written skills a must.
- You embrace new technology and apps.

As an Earth Boring Operator you are a highly motivated individual with an eye for safety, detail and mindful of constant process improvement. You are safety focused and keen to make and break production records. You find the ‘Yes’ in the ‘No’. You are a results-oriented team player, who can take direction and lead when required, mindful of your commitment as a team player.
What is Expected
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, bulldozers, trenchers, and other specialized equipment used in sewer and watermain construction and maintenance.
- Perform various outdoor physical activities and duties with the site crew.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance in the field when necessary (i.e., hydraulics hoses, cables, etc.).
- Assist in completing construction projects in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Complete daily inspection logs.
- Ensuring safety practices and procedures are observed and followed.\Communication of daily work, safety related issues and any other required project documentation.
- Daily cleaning of the equipment to ensure peak efficiency and eliminate unnecessary wear caused by dirty equipment.
- Other duties as required.
