Overview
NeuroVaughan Autism Clinic is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team for weekend shifts only (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
The OTA will work under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist to support children with autism and developmental needs. The role involves implementing individualized therapy programs, assisting with skill development, and promoting independence in daily living activities.
Duties
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Support clients in performing therapeutic activities aimed at improving their daily living and functional skills.
- Monitor and document clients progress, reporting any concerns or notable changes to supervising therapists.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for therapy sessions.
- Support sensory, fine motor, and daily living skill development
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications
- OTA diploma or equivalent certification
- Experience working with children with autism or developmental delays (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, compassionate, and energetic personality
- Ability to follow therapy plans and collect accurate data
- Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
