Position overview
TFG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Corporate Development team as an Intern, Corporate Finance Analyst from May to August 2025. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of corporate finance within the Travelers Financial Group of Companies. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to support key initiatives and gain valuable insights into financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making processes. This role will require being in the office 4 days a week.
Job responsibilities

Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management, investors, and stakeholders

Assist in monitoring and analyzing key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

Support the evaluation of investment opportunities, capital allocation decisions, and strategic initiatives

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for financial analysis and reporting

Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the business
Qualifications, knowledge and experience

A strong sense of integrity, professionalism and a results-oriented attitude to continually improve processes and systems, enhance efficiency, and contribute to overall organizational success

Current university student enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year of a business degree

Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Prior internship or work experience in finance or related field is an asset
