Community Living–Central Huron is dedicated to promoting full inclusion and citizenship for all people. Through the Huron Respite Network, a collaboration of 14 local agencies, we provide planned, short-term respite services across Huron County for children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities and/or autism, as well as children and youth with mental health needs.
As a Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in coordinating respite services for eligible individuals and families. This position is responsible for advancing the objectives of the Management, Advisory, and Selection Committees, while acting as a resource and community connector for people supported and their families. Responsibilities include oversight of policies, procedures, budgets, intake, and data collection; planning, monitoring, and coordinating individualized respite plans; supporting the recruitment and introduction of screened respite providers; facilitating program operations; and ensuring compliance with Agency policies, Ministry requirements, and applicable legislation.

· Build strong, inclusive, and respectful relationships with individuals supported, families/caregivers, respite providers, staff, committees, and community partners using a person- and family-centred approach.
· Serve as a key liaison and community connector across the Huron Respite Network, fostering collaboration and representing the values and mission of Community Living–Central Huron.
Problem Solving & Decision Making
· Use sound judgment to manage complex situations, competing priorities, and crisis responses while ensuring compliance with Ministry, legislative, and Agency requirements.
· Identify service gaps and barriers to respite and implement practical, timely solutions, including conflict resolution with families, providers, and stakeholders.
Championing Change & Innovation
· Lead continuous improvement through flexible and responsive respite service delivery models that reflect evolving community needs.
· Contribute to program development, evaluation, and strategic planning in collaboration with the Executive Director and HRN committees.
Advocacy
· Advocate for the rights, inclusion, safety, and well-being of individuals supported and their families/caregivers.
· Support individuals and families to make informed choices and promote self-advocacy, dignity, and social inclusion in alignment with Agency values.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
· Minimum 4-year undergraduate degree in Human Services with Supervisory experience and leadership skills
· Knowledge of planning processes, financial assistance programs, advocacy practices, and community resources for individuals with disabilities
· Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills including verbal and written communication, the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information
· Capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities, demands and stressors
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, data management systems, and virtual communication platforms
· Valid First Aid/CPR certificate, Class “G” Driver’s License, Proof of $2 Million Third Party Liability Insurance, satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
