WHO WE ARE:
Raymond EMC Enclosures Ltd. designs, manufactures, installs, and tests RF shielded enclosures, anechoic chambers, and RF shielded components for high-tech and government facilities.
We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our production team. This role plays an important part in maintaining product quality, catching defects early, and ensuring our work meets company standards and customer requirements.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Location: 812 Burton Road in Vars
Compensation: $27 - $31 per hour, based on experience
Security Clearance Requirement
This role requires eligibility for a Government of Canada Level II (Secret) clearance. Candidates must be able to provide a full 10-year background history (residency, employment, and education), and consent to criminal, credit, and security checks.
Please note that individuals with limited Canadian residency history or significant time spent outside of Canada may experience longer processing times, which could impact eligibility for this position.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of Quality Control Inspector experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, or similar inspection equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard for quality.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, shop-floor environment.
- Experience using Excel and Microsoft tools for reporting and tracking.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Willingness to complete a criminal background check upon hire.
- Ability to obtain a Level II (Secret) Government of Canada Security Clearance.
- Ability to reliably commute to Vars, ON every day.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in a custom job shop or low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Experience identifying and preventing repeat defects or recurring quality issues.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience using ERP systems or quality control software.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement, corrective actions, or process improvements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Measure parts using calipers, gauges, drawings, work instructions, and other controlled documents.
- Monitor production processes and complete routine quality checks to catch issues early.
- Identify defects and prevent non-conforming products from moving to the next stage or being shipped.
- Assist with investigating recurring quality issues and support root cause and corrective action efforts.
- Work closely with production teams to clarify quality standards and accept/reject criteria.
- Help reduce scrap, rework, and customer returns through early detection and prevention.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, and tracking tools.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to product quality and process reliability.
