The Delta Chamber of Commerce is seeking a driven, professional, and community-minded individual to join our team as Membership Coordinator.
This role is ideal for someone with strong sales instincts, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for creating meaningful connections. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing and supporting the Chamber’s membership while delivering exceptional service and engagement to the local business community.
As the voice of business in Delta, the Chamber supports economic growth and prosperity through advocacy, networking, education, tourism, and community leadership. This position is central to strengthening member relationships and supporting the continued growth of the Chamber.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Membership Coordinator is responsible for membership growth, retention, engagement, and administrative support for the Delta Chamber of Commerce.
This role focuses on:
- Membership acquisition and retention
- Relationship management and member engagement
- Chambers Benefits Plan support
- Accounts receivable and invoicing
- CRM management and reporting
- Member communications and outreach
- Administrative and organizational support
The successful candidate will be highly relationship-focused, sales-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, community-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Engagement
- Actively recruit new Chamber members through outreach, networking, referrals, relationship-building, and community engagement
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and retain membership
- Build strong relationships with local businesses and serve as a key contact for Chamber members
- Conduct member onboarding and regular member check-ins
- Support membership renewals and retention initiatives
- Achieve annual membership growth targets established with the Executive Director
- Track and report on membership engagement and retention metrics
Member Relations & Community Outreach
- Attend Chamber and community events to build relationships and promote Chamber membership
- Represent the Chamber professionally within the business community
- Identify opportunities to connect members with Chamber programs, services, and networking opportunities
- Support member engagement initiatives and business outreach efforts
Chambers Benefits Plan Support
- Promote and support the Chambers Benefits Plan as a valuable member service
- Educate prospective and existing members on benefits offerings
- Coordinate communications and member inquiries related to the program
- Work collaboratively with benefits providers and partners
Administration & Office Support
- Prepare invoices, track payments, and support accounts receivable processes
- Maintain accurate membership records within CRM and administrative systems
- Assist with reporting, database management, and member communications
- Support office operations and general administrative functions
- Assist with Chamber events and organizational initiatives as needed
Communications Support
- Assist with member communications, newsletters, website updates, and promotional materials
- Support social media and marketing initiatives that promote Chamber programs, events, and member opportunities

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in sales, membership services, customer relations, business development, community engagement, or account management preferred
- Post-secondary education in business, communications, marketing, administration, or related field considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Canva, social media platforms, and digital communication tools considered an asset
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation preferred
Pay: $58,000.00-$61,000.00 per year
