The Procurement Platforms & Enablement Contract Consultant serves as the functional subject matter expert (SME) for Coupa and associated Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes. This role is responsible for the execution, optimization, and sustainment of procurement technology capabilities, with a focus on workflow enablement, supplier adoption, procurement automation, and platform enhancements. Working closely with Procurement, Finance, Technology, and external vendors, the incumbent translates business requirements into scalable system solutions and drives the successful delivery of platform enhancements, operational improvements, supplier enablement initiatives, and assigned projects. The role combines deep functional expertise in Coupa with a strong understanding of procurement processes to ensure technology capabilities effectively support business objectives and operational excellence.
Coupa Functional Expertise & Workflow Enablement

Serve as the functional SME for Coupa and associated Source-to-Pay processes.

Maintain deep expertise across Coupa modules, workflows, configurations, integrations, and platform capabilities.

Lead the design, configuration, enhancement, and optimization of end-to-end Source-to-Pay workflows within Coupa.

Evaluate business requirements and recommend functional solutions that align with platform capabilities and best practices.

Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, controls, automation, user experience, and compliance through enhanced platform utilization.

Support ongoing platform growth through the introduction and adoption of new functionality and capabilities.
Supplier Enablement & Procurement Automation

Lead supplier enablement initiatives supporting onboarding, adoption, and expansion of Coupa capabilities.

Drive the automation of procurement and Procure-to-Pay processes through effective utilization of platform capabilities.

Partner with suppliers, Procurement Operations, and Technology teams to facilitate successful onboarding and integration activities.

Monitor adoption and utilization trends and identify opportunities to increase automation and supplier participation.

Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing manual processes and increasing operational efficiency.
Platform Enhancements & Project Delivery

Drive the execution of assigned procurement technology projects, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Gather, document, analyze, and refine business and functional requirements.

Translate business needs into system configurations, workflow enhancements, and platform solutions.

Coordinate and execute testing activities, including functional testing, user acceptance testing, defect management, and implementation readiness.

Manage project deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution activities through successful completion.

Support implementation, stabilization, and post-deployment sustainment activities.
Operational Support & Sustainment

Provide oversight and support for ongoing Coupa operations and platform functionality.

Act as the senior escalation point for complex workflow, process, and system-related issues.

Own and manage issue, enhancement, and defect backlogs to ensure timely investigation, prioritization, and resolution.

Support release management, platform upgrades, system maintenance, and enhancement deployments.

Maintain process documentation, functional specifications, training materials, and knowledge repositories.
Stakeholder & Technology Collaboration

Partner with Technology teams to support integrations, platform enhancements, releases, and issue resolution activities.

Work closely with Procurement, Finance, and business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with software vendors and implementation partners to support platform optimization and issue resolution.

Facilitate discussions regarding requirements, functionality, risks, dependencies, and delivery priorities.
Leadership & Delivery Excellence

Provide guidance and coaching to analysts, specialists, project team members, and operational resources.

Support prioritization and coordination of platform-related initiatives and operational activities.

Promote best practices related to Coupa functionality, supplier enablement, workflow design, and procurement automation.

- ~5 7 years of experience with procurement platforms; Coupa preferred other tools (e.g., Ariba, Ivalua, etc.) would also be considered.
