What is the opportunity?

As the Business, Data and Process Analyst, you will be responsible for business and data analysis on medium to large size projects. This includes responsibility for the execution of all aspects of requirements, gathering, planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation. You will identify business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Using the broad spectrum of tools and approaches available at RBC, the Business, Data and Process Analyst will define the solutions to meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. You will be required to always be conscious and considerate of the most effective change management approach and looking to optimize business value by recommending well thought out and researched solutions.

What will you do?

Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business value.
Collaborating with business users to understand their challenges with data and being able to solve those challenges by leveraging business systems and technology
Drive data driven discussions to help business to determine potential improvements and perform Top-down process analysis
Effectively facilitate large and diverse groups of stakeholders to complete requirements discovery, analysis and review.
Analyze and document scope of the business solution and detailed business and system solutions requirements using enterprise-standard requirements methodologies.

Document operational processes for each pillar within R&SS working closely with senior management/delegates in each pillar, utilizing Lean Six Sigma and process excellence methodology
Recommend changes to Senior Management Team to improve efficiency and effective operations of R&SS

What do you need to succeed?
Must-haves

Understanding of various software development methodologies such as Iterative, Waterfall, Agile
Requirements planning including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation
Solid understanding and experience with SDLC
Requirements elicitation techniques – document analysis; interviews; facilitate large group discussions; job shadowing; reverse engineering; prototyping
5 or more years’ experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects (preferably in App Dev, IT Risk).
3 or more years of business process analysis experience

Nice-to have

CBAP or PMI BA certification
Experience or understanding of open-source software frameworks (Hadoop), data visualization tools (Tableau), and databases (SQL and/or VBA)
Relational database concepts and design experience
