What you will do
The Communications Department is responsible for reputation and brand management, internal and external communications and community engagement. The Manager, Content Marketing’s primary purpose is to optimize brand and marketing communications to enhance TOH’s image and reputation. The Manager provides strategic leadership, as well as tactical advice on TOH end-to-end content marketing strategies.
A powerful storyteller, the Manager oversees the Content Marketing team to develop and implement brand and marketing content strategies for major programs, initiatives, and projects that amplify the hospital’s mission and strategic direction.
The position reports to the Chief Communications Officer and works closely with senior executives to provide strategic content marketing advice.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or journalism or another relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience including work as a leader, project manager and writer;
Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience;
Experience in creating professional branded content (copy, video, graphics, audio, etc.), primarily for digital.;
In-depth knowledge of omni-channel content marketing and communications, user experience (digital/web) and online engagement;
Experience leading internal and external communications strategies;
Experience identifying and managing issues and providing strategic communications advice to senior management (verbally and in writing) in a complex and dynamic working environment;
Proven success managing content for enterprise class websites and social media channels;
Exceptional understanding of best practices and principles of content marketing strategy and approaches in an omni-channel context; branded content creation and production, social media engagement, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM);
Exceptional people skills and a demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and manage a creative team in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, priority and deadline-driven environment;
Highly developed story-telling skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling and engaging content;
An excellent listener with the ability to think strategically and creatively for the purpose of recommending content and marketing strategies;
Seasoned, persuasive individual with excellent communication and presentation skills;
Omni-channel and social media-savvy with solid technology experience with CMS, HTML editing, software (e.g. WordPress, Drupal), video and image editing software (e.g. Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, etc.);
Strong organizational and time management skills, proven project management skills, ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines;
Sound judgment, initiative, creativity, flexibility, tact and diplomacy, as well as experience in dealing with conflict situations and sensitive issues that reflect on corporate image;
Ability to build strategic relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including executives, business leaders and the senior editorial staff of print, broadcast and online news outlets;
Ability to find original, efficient and cost-effective ways to build internal engagement;
Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information;
Superior verbal and written communication skills in both official languages.
