Exp'd CIPP (Cured-In-Place_Pipe Lining) / Grout Operator Positions for Pipeline Rehab. Comp. Available Immediately.
Full Time Operator Positions Available Immediately with Mar-Tech Underground Services Ltd., a pipeline rehab. & maintenance company based in Langley. Applicants MUST hold a valid class 5 drivers license w/ a clean driving record and reliable vehicle (shop is not on a bus route, but company vehicles used from shop to sites). Class 3 or 1 licenses an Asset.
PACP Certification and Knowledge an Asset.
Position as laid out below:
- Perform Lining and/or Grout Rehabilitation of sewer systems components on a daily basis. - Inspections are performed as required by a variety of clients and include preventative maintenance programs, response to system failures in emergency situations, routine assessments and inspections of newly constructed systems.
- Routine maintenance and inspection of grout, lining and camera equipment.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect sanitary, storm, combined and other sewer pipes/mains
- Inspect sanitary, storm, combined and other sewer laterals/services
- Rehabilitation of sanitary, storm, combined and other sewer pipes/mains
- Rehabilitation of sanitary, storm, combined and other sewer laterals/services - Inspect other components of sewer system as required (manholes, wet-well chambers, etc.)
- Determine optimum method of inspection based on encountered conditions
- Produce reports of inspections completed daily
- Maintain televising equipment in good operating condition
- Soldering and electrical repair
- Ability to work out-of-town. Majority of work is M-F, but must be available evenings and weekends as well.
Skills and Abilities:
- 1+ year Sewer Inspection experience
- Ability to complete applicable reports, records and other requested administrative tasks
- Ability to work alone and with a team
- Strong work ethic
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- PC proficiency
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Granite XP software experience an asset
Qualifications:
- Valid NASSCO PACP/MACP Certification (asset but not a requirement)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License w/ Clean Abstract (Required)
- Competitive Salary based on experience, with extended medical and dental coverage after 3 months.
- Average 40 hours a week with plenty of opportunity for overtime and room for advancement.
- The majority of work is based in town Monday - Friday but applicants need to be available for weekend and out of town work as well as required.
