At The Old Farm Market, we pride ourselves on friendly faces, fast checkouts, and genuine customer care — and we’re looking for a Head Cashier who can lead the charge at our Front End. This is a key leadership role, perfect for someone with strong cash handling skills, a customer-first attitude, and a passion for coaching and supporting a team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining smooth day-to-day operations at the tills, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout experience for our customers.
The ideal candidate will have previous retail or supervisory experience, and thrives in a busy, people-focused environment. You’ll lead by example, inspire great service from your team, and play a hands-on role in keeping the Front End and Grocery running like clockwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, efficient service and ensure the same from all cashiers
- Handle daily cash balancing, deposits, and till troubleshooting
- Hire, train, and mentor front-end staff
- Build weekly cashier schedules based on store needs
- Keep tills clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Boost morale and maintain a positive team culture
- Jump in to help wherever needed to keep things flowing
