As an Office Coordinator with VCH, you will:
Be responsible for overseeing program support operations, functions and resources and providing information systems expertise for Communicable Disease Control programs and the Office of the Chief Medical Health Officer.
Supervise the work activities of designated staff for specified programs and services by coordinating and overseeing the planning of administrative support and clerical activities of the programs and participates in the development, communication and implementation of relevant policies protocols and procedures.
Assist the Manager and/or the Director with administrative activities and optimal use of resources, and prepare reports based on compiled financial and statistical records, and make business process improvement recommendations.
Ensure linkages with IMITS/BCCSS Technology Services with operations and collaborates with staff, vendors and other stakeholders across VCH in the planning, development and implementation of changes.

Education & Experience
Recognized diploma, certificate or degree in business administration plus five (5) years' recent, related experience, including one (1) year's supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Valid BC Driver's License as local area travel may require the use of a vehicle for which mileage reimbursement will be paid in accordance with the collective agreement.
Knowledge & Abilities
Broad knowledge of Communicable Disease Control and Health Protection program areas.
Demonstrated ability to participate in, or co-lead process improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated knowledge of electronic documentation.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate interdisciplinary health professionals to apply technology and workflow improvement strategies to practice.
Knowledge of practices and procedures related to computer equipment, networks and software applications.
Ability to install, configure, operate and maintain computer equipment and software.
Ability to identify, investigate, assess, document and resolve network, software and hardware problems.
Demonstrated ability to effectively orient and train staff.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with individuals and groups in a consultative/collaborative manner. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to facilitate group process.
Ability to perform risk/impact analysis.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize workload in collaboration with others.
Demonstrated ability to understand change dynamics and change management processes.
Demonstrated ability in the use of computer hardware, software and communication applications.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload in a self directed manner.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
