Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of tech innovators? We are looking for an energetic, creative, and tech-savvy Coding Instructor to join our academic team! At Best Brain Caledon , we provide a stress-free, fast-paced, and highly supportive environment where you can focus entirely on teaching. No lesson planning or grading is required outside of class hours! Our proprietary, individualized curriculum and step-by-step coding paths are fully provided for you. Your primary goal is to guide, inspire, and help kids debug their projects in real-time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead Small Classes: Deliver engaging instruction to small groups of elementary and middle school students.
- Facilitate STEM Curriculum: Direct students through pre-written lessons in Scratch, Python, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Provide Real-Time Support: Assist students with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving coding logic errors independently.
- Track Progress: Complete digital progress books and student tracking logs after each session.
- Maintain Engagement: Manage classroom behavior to keep young students focused, motivated, and excited to learn.
- Parent Communication: Be available briefly before or after class to share constructive feedback with parents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Coding Knowledge: Proficiency in foundational platforms (Scratch) and core programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or HTML).
- Childcare/Teaching Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working with children (e.g., camp counselor, tutor, or classroom teacher).
- Education: Enrolled in or graduated from a Computer Science, Engineering, or Education program.
- Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and a fun, patient, and enthusiastic personality
