About Our Client
Our client is a well-established Canadian distribution organization serving commercial customers across Ontario and beyond. With a complex, inventory-driven operation and continued investment in technology and process improvement, the company is seeking an experienced NetSuite Financial Administrator to become the internal subject matter expert for its NetSuite financial platform.
This is a key role connecting Finance, Information Systems, Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and other business functions. The successful candidate will combine strong accounting and financial knowledge with hands-on NetSuite administration experience to improve processes, reporting, data integrity, and overall system effectiveness.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, the NetSuite Financial Administrator will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and ongoing support of NetSuite, with a particular focus on financial processes and reporting.
This role requires someone who understands both the accounting side of the business and how NetSuite can be configured to support it. You will work closely with Finance and Accounting while also partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and external NetSuite resources to improve workflows, resolve issues, and support continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
NetSuite Administration & Support
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for NetSuite financial functionality.
- Manage system configuration, workflows, saved searches, dashboards, reports, custom records, roles, and permissions.
- Support and troubleshoot NetSuite issues relating to:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- General Ledger
- Fixed Assets
- Banking and Cash Management
- Financial Reporting
- Inventory-related financial processes
- Coordinate NetSuite upgrades, releases, testing, enhancements, and system changes.
- Work with external NetSuite consultants and support partners when required.
- Maintain system documentation, process maps, and training materials.
Financial Process Management
- Ensure NetSuite effectively supports core accounting processes and internal controls.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Review and improve financial transaction flows between NetSuite and integrated systems.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and increase automation.
- Support financial audits by providing system expertise, data, and documentation.
- Maintain strong standards for financial data integrity and governance.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain financial reports, KPIs, dashboards, and saved searches.
- Support management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Partner with Finance leadership to improve reporting accuracy, visibility, and efficiency.
- Analyze system and financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
User Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide day-to-day support to Finance and Accounting users.
- Deliver user training and promote best practices for NetSuite utilization.
- Act as a key point of contact for financial system inquiries and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Sales, Customer Service, and IT to identify system enhancement opportunities.
- Evaluate new NetSuite functionality, modules, and third-party integrations.
- Participate in ERP improvement projects and business transformation initiatives.
- Help ensure the NetSuite environment can scale as the organization continues to grow.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite ERP experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of NetSuite Financials and inventory management.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong accounting and financial knowledge, including:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- General Ledger
- Financial Reporting
- Month-End Close
- Internal Controls
- Experience working within a distribution, wholesale, supply chain, or similarly inventory-driven environment.
- Hands-on experience configuring workflows, saved searches, dashboards, reports, roles, permissions, and custom records.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives, vendors, and multiple business priorities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate financial and business requirements into effective system solutions.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the NetSuite environment.
Preferred
- Experience within wholesale distribution, logistics, or other inventory-intensive organizations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Experience supporting third-party integrations and external NetSuite partners.
- NetSuite certification would be considered an asset.

Compensation
$110,000–$125,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
