Position Overview:
ACR Tech is seeking a Survey Technologist with a passion for fieldwork and road construction to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support road building projects by performing surveys, preparing layouts, and ensuring construction is carried out according to design specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys and topographic mapping to support road design and construction
- Perform layout and staking for road alignments, drainage systems, and grading operations
- Assist in the preparation of survey plans, reports, and documentation using CAD and GIS software
- Collaborate with engineers, construction crews, and project managers to ensure alignment with project specifications
- Operate and maintain a variety of survey equipment including GPS, total stations, and data collectors
- Verify construction against design drawings and provide as-built data
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standard
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Technology, or a related field
- 2+ years of field experience in civil or road construction surveying (preferred)
- Proficiency with survey instruments and related software (e.g., Trimble, AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Strong understanding of construction practices related to road building
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in diverse and challenging environments
