We are currently recruiting for Manager, Assurance with public accounting license to join our Toronto office. In this role, the individual will be leading Audit and Review engagements and supporting Managing Partner in meeting all deadlines. The individual will act as a trusted business advisor with strong focus on serving clients. This individual might be groomed into a Partner in the future.
The primary responsibilities will include:
· Completion of Audit, Review and some Compilation files. Deliver technical expertise in compilation and assurance engagements with high quality deliverables
· Attention to detail and ensure accuracy of work in all engagements
· Oversee and be responsible for the performance and training of staff accountants.
· Accountable for engagement scheduling and financials, including budgets, WIP, timely billing.
· Work under tight deadlines, deliver quality work, anticipate and resolve client issues in a timely manner.
· Comply with all confidentiality policies of the firm and applicable regulatory authorities.
A successful candidate will have:
· Professional CPA accounting designation with min 5 years post designation experience in public accounting preferably three years as a manager
· Ability to work independently on all types of engagements – compilations, review and audit engagements.
· In-depth knowledge of ASPE
· Thorough knowledge and application of relevant professional standards, regulations and corporate governance requirements
· Team player with superior interpersonal, communication and client service skills
· Ability to work independently or in a team.
· Can be assigned multiple tasks and has ability to prioritize work meeting all deadlines.
· Excellent project management skills, including the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
· Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
