Make your mark while you grow your career! Canadian Natural is looking for a multifaceted, dynamic Business Systems Analyst for a challenging role with Information Systems. At Canadian Natural, Business Systems Analysts draw on their experience to contribute as systems analysts, planners and relationship managers. You will be responsible for managing the customer relationship between IS Conventional Applications and Field operations, implementing new applications, as well as supporting and maintaining a portfolio of existing applications. You Analyst will also provide guidance and direction to other Systems Analysts and Developers.

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the customer relationship between IS and specific business areas
- Support, maintain, enhance and/or upgrade a portfolio of custom and package applications
- Analyze requests for new functionality and document business cases to justify new application investments
- Plan, organize and manage application projects
- Plan, assign and monitor daily work assignments for Systems Analysts, Developers and Developer Analysts
- Develop cost estimates for the annual IS capital and sustainment budgets
- Occasional travel to field sites in northern Alberta
What You Bring to the Role:
- Typically, 8 + years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst and Systems Analyst, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Knowledge of Conventional, Heavy Oil or Thermal field operations with experience in field data capture, SCADA and historians would be an asset
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Sciences or a related field
- Exceptional Project Management skills
- Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in process modeling, data modeling, and effort/cost estimating
- Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
- Demonstrated proficiency with analysis, design and development of modern single page applications/progressive web applications and N-tier environments.
- Familiarity with .NET (VB & C#), git, Azure DevOps, BMC Helix (Remedy), Microsoft SSRS and Power BI, SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle databases. Familiarity with Blazor and Angular would be an asset.
