- Salary: $29.40 per hour
- Location: Victoria, BC — In-person
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (plus every 3rd Saturday for a partial day)
Core Responsibilities
- General Repair and Maintenance: You will be assigned tasks related to the general repair and maintenance of vehicles, including brakes, tires, suspensions, electrical systems, and more on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and off-make vehicles.
- Digital Inspections: Execute thorough multi-point safety inspections, document required repairs clearly, and collaborate with Service Advisors.
- Knowledge and Compliance: You will remain up-to-date on product knowledge, manufacturer updates, technical knowledge, bulletins, and recalls.
- Efficiency & Accuracy: Complete repairs within flat-rate or allocated time guidelines while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Documentation: You will ensure that all inspections and paperwork are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Customer Service: You will advise customers on work performed, the general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements.
- Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere strictly to provincial safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Apprenticeship Status: Registered 2ndYear Automotive Service Technician Apprentice.
- Experience: Proven track record in an automotive shop with solid foundational mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Attitude: Upbeat, highly motivated, team-oriented, and genuinely willing to learn.
- Tools: Own set of tools appropriate for a 2nd-year apprentice level.
- Licence: Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record are required to road-test client vehicles.
