About the Job:
We are looking for a full-time material handler to work in our cold storage facility, Avila in Brampton.
Experience in food warehousing and distribution is an asset. Forklift experience is required.
Main responsibilities include:
- Receiving: Put away received materials in assigned locations; unload and and put away packaging materials in assigned locations; enforce FIFO; adhere to HACCP plan
- Material Handling: Ensure that items are labeled properly; participate in daily cycle counts
- Housekeeping: Tidy the existing stock on the shelves to maximize space and minimize lost and damaged materials; keep freezers and coolers organized and tidy with a focus on maximizing space; participate in monthly/yearly inventory counts
Shipping: Load trucks with finished goods; pick transfer requests and ship.
