Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Law Firm Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the firm’s financial records and ensuring accuracy in all bookkeeping functions. The role will utilize Soluno to maintain accurate financial data, perform reconciliations, and assist with budgeting processes. Candidates with strong organizational skills and familiarity with legal industry accounting practices, including trust accounting, are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations using Soluno
- Pay both provincial and federal taxes
- Invoicing
- Trust accounting
- Making payments by cheque, wire, and e-transfer
- Data entry and tracking
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and ledger reconciliations
- Process payroll
- Ensure compliance with legal industry accounting standards and internal policies
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting within a law firm or professional services environment
- Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Soluno
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliation processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with legal industry billing practices

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
