Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Environmental Services Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing high quality housekeeping and laundry services for residents and guests, in accordance with regulatory/legislative requirements as well as Company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Cleans assigned areas, suites, furnishings and fixtures in accordance with established housekeeping cleaning schedule (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) and procedures.
Cleans floors, dry mops, wet mops, sweeps, disinfects where and when necessary.
Launders resident bedding, towels or personal items, as per cleaning schedule.
Reports observations to supervisor concerning structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctions, and documents in maintenance repair log.
Adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, legislation and Company policies and procedures.
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism by following the Company dress code and/or wearing the Company uniform.
Participate in all Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Infection Prevention and Control, and related activities as required.
Attend all staff meetings and mandatory training.
Reports any concerns with resident to care staff and/or Environmental Services Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Skills:
Partial completion of High School and/or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Strong verbal/written English communication skills.
Organizational and time management skills.
Working Environment, Special Skills and Physical Job Requirements:
Regularly push/pull wheeled equipment up to 50 pounds.
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Use of cleaning chemicals.
Exposure to variable temperatures.
Bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for at least 3 hours per day.
Walk and stand on a variety of surfaces for at least 3 hours per day.
Flexible schedule with the ability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.
