Overview
We are currently recruiting a Merchandising and Sales Representative in the Victoria/Vancouver Island area to support one of our client’s in-store display efforts. In this role, you will gain exposure and experience in a field sales environment under one of the top beverage alcohol companies in Canada. You’ll have the opportunity to represent and merchandise for their RTD portfolio, one of the fastest growing brands in BC, AB and ON.
This is not your typical day desk and admin job; every week will look different with some evening and weekend work. This is a junior position (0-3 years’ work experience) perfect for an individual who wants to get into a sales or marketing role or is in post-secondary school.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting a team of Territory Managers (the ultimate team player)
- Traveling to several retail outlets daily, assisting with channel marketing, programming, value add merchandising and potentially transferring of products
- Supporting the odd events when necessary - conducting samplings at golf courses, festivals or patios (1-2 a month)
- Completing routine daily management (CRM logging, team & communication, reporting, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in supervising or leading teams within retail or related environments is preferred
- Interest in a sales career
- Previous customer service, merchandising, hospitality industry and/or sales experience an asset
- Excellent communication skills, internally and with external customers
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Ability to take direction, while also being a great independent problem-solver
- Reliable, trustworthy and eager to learn.
