We are seeking a experience Operations Manager with Production Leadership experience to lead our Abbotsford BC laundry production plant. You'll be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, maximizing productivity while maintaining operational excellence and cost control. This position requires you to be self-motivated, handle large amounts of discretion, and be able to function with a high level of autonomy. This position reports to the Regional Director of Operations.
<Responsibilities>
- Lead, Coach and Train production, delivery and maintenance teams
- Monitor productivity to ensure we are meeting customer demand
- Ensure safety and compliance by maintaining strong focus on safety, environmental stewardship and health standards
- Oversee transportation schedule, solving any customer inquiries with a sense of urgency
- Identify areas of opportunity, develop action plans and implement improvements
- Enhance quality and productivity by implementing changes that elevate product quality, reduce costs and increase throughput to meet evolving business demands
<Skills and Experience>
- Minimum of 3 years of production or manufacturing experience
- Experience leading teams in a unionized environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal or writing
- Experience with WorkSafe BC injury claim and claim management
- Lead projects such as system implementation, and workforce planning
Hours of Work and Working Conditions
- 7 day week operation ability to work weekends as requir3e
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Candidates should be comfortable working on production line and a warehouse environment
