Reporting to the Chief Engagement officer, you will assist in the development and overall successful implementation of the Communications strategy of the Ocean Supercluster.

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual communications plan
Engaging and collaborating with the communications committee
Track and measure the level of online engagement within the OSC network over time
Manage development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, annual report, e-newsletters, and the OSC website
Develop content creation, including writing blog posts, articles, newsletter, communications materials and material for social media channels and the OSC website
Collect and collate information for promotional literature
Enforce brand and social media guidelines
Manage social media marketing, including creating, managing and growing the company's presence through LinkedIn, Twitter and other strategically relevant online properties
Manage all media contacts

Required Competencies:
Post-secondary degree or diploma program with a focus on Public Relations or Marketing
At least two years of experience in a similar role
Personable, presentable, articulate and able to work effectively with a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong administrative, organizational and problem-solving abilities
The ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Ability to research, collect and analyze information
Proficient technical skills (i.e. MS Office, Adobe, WordPress)
